1.5ct Pastel Green Beryl from the famous Roebling Mine in Merryall, CT
Precision cut by Troy Richardson in Marco Voltolini’s “Lippy”
9.5 x 6.3 x 4.5 mm
An extremely bright beryl from Connecticut. 100% natural, earth-mined color. The Roebling Mine has been closed to collecting for over 30 years now, and the overburden has collapsed into the open trench so the prospect of seeing any more of these gems is very slight 🙁 This piece has amazing clarity and cutting, the high crown helps show some dispersion, which you don’t often see in beryl. Only a few tiny bubbles, difficult to see under a 10x loupe.
