1.99ct Pastel Green/Blue Beryl, New Milford, CT
10x8x5.8mm, Precision USA cut by Troy Richardson
Loupe clean and incredibly cut/polished to a calibrated size in one of my favorite pear designs, “Maya Drop”. I call this material Green/Blue Beryl as it shows primarily green outdoors, and pale Aquamarine indoors. Rough for the Roebling Mine Aquamarine/Green Beryl was originally sourced in 1980 from mine owner Howard Hewitt, in the form of several dumptruck loads of unsorted mine-run pegmatite. Howard unfortunately passed on shortly thereafter, and the mine was closed permanently.
